Horrible, absolutely horrible. Speaking as a former client, Your children will not be safe here, staff is incompetent to deal with the teens here, previous incidents within the camp have proven this to be true. Clients becoming sexually involved with each other, clients breaking out and, on more than two occasions, stealing alcohol and more from neighboring homes, allowing a Muslim child into a Christian camp, who continued on to damage property during multiple incidents, cops showing up frequently. Communication between administration and coaches does not exist, Jeff Dye and Jason Roberge have little to no interaction with your teens after you leave, unless if theres food at the cafeteria, then they huff and puff down from their cozy secretive administrative cabin and ignore the children. Some children come into this camp with a clean record, and leave with severe charges. Coaches (Except for a select few) are corrupt, handing out consequences for no reason. Your children will not be safe here. Parent weekend is even worse, if you think that your child is only doing 6 months in this program, Jason Roberge, Jeff Dye, and Lynn will make sure to lie to your face and almost force you to complete the 12 months. Trying to pull your child out will be almost impossible, counselors (Lynn and Mike) will fight to keep your child there, why? Not because they care, but because these are direct orders from the Administrative staff, the camp, depending on who you ask has a shady financial situation. Depending on who you ask, the camp is doing great, but asking another staff, the camp is deeply in debt. At $4,000 a month they will obviously fight to keep your kid there. Campus is nice, school teachers, Kyle Stennes and Thomas Sitzman will do their best to help teen in whatever academic situation he is in. Video game addicts mixed up with real substance abuse problems will ensure to make whatever situation they are in worse, VIDEO GAME ADDICTION AND SUBSTANCE ABUSE ARE NOT THE SAME. NOT THE SAME. This treatment is unorganized and will ensure to sever your relationship with your teen once he is finished. There are better programs than this, DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY AND TIME AT LAKESIDE. YOUR CHILD WILL NOT BE SAFE. Lakeside WILL WASTE YOUR MONEY AND TIME.

This place looks kinda sketchy. I mean “teenage boy” rehab?!? Cmon who are you really fooling....? Why do they flood their website with pictures..... most places only have 1 good one or a few at most! But some never have any decent pics at all! Just my opinion about the new site Teen Challenge! Hmmmmmm kinda eeerie vibes!
